Literature Text

In Nohr, Xander was in the throne room, briefing his father on what happened at the border with Corrin.

“I don’t understand what happened to her, Father.  One moment, I was fighting Prince Ryoma, the next, I heard Camilla shouting and saw Corrin disappearing into the woods.”

That revelation was met with silence.  How were they supposed to get her back?  They didn’t even know where she was.  After a few minutes, Garon spoke.

“If she is somewhere in Nohr, we can find her and bring her back.  Don’t worry, Xander.  We will find out what happened to her in Hoshido.”

In Hoshido, Ryoma was reporting to his mother in the throne room.  He seemed a little hesitant to give her the news about Corrin.

“She… disappeared into the woods, Mother.  When we tried to look for her, she was nowhere to be found.”

When she heard that news, Mikoto just sank into the throne.

“No…”

Putting her hand on her head, it was apparent that she was incredibly distraught.  Ryoma tried to give her some consolation.

“Mother, we will get her back.  It will just take a little time.”

With that, he left.  Mikoto still wasn’t calm, however.  She was just shaking her head and mumbling.

“I lost her once…  I can’t lose her again…”

That morning, Corrin woke up to a hand shaking her.  The Yato was within arm’s reach, and she was about to grab it, but another hand went over hers.  Looking up, she saw Hydra kneeling over her.

“Come, Corrin.  We have to hurry if we want to reach the gateway without getting caught.”

She got up and fastened the Yato to her hip.  There wasn’t much else to do before they could leave, but Hydra had one thing that needed to be done.

“Before we leave, I have something for you that might give some aid.”

He clasped an amulet around her neck, which confused Corrin at first.  Then he explained about it.

“This amulet will pulsate when the translucent warriors are near.  Always keep it close.  I’ll also be able to talk to you through it.”

She looked at it and saw that it had the image of a dragon with blue, crystal eyes.  It was strangely beautiful.

“Thank you, Hydra.”

He smiled, then another thought crossed his mind.

“There is one more thing.  You won’t be able to come back until the skies between Nohr and Hoshido switch, in about a month’s time.  If you can get the princes of the two countries to come here by then, they can help you stop Anankos.”

Corrin nodded.  Seeing her understanding, Hydra gestured to the door.

“Now, let’s get moving.”

He opened the door and they started making their way across the fields.  They had to hide for a little when the amulet sensed some soldiers nearby, but there wasn’t any trouble getting there.  As Corrin stood at the edge of the canyon, she looked back at Hydra, who gave her a hopeful smile.

“Good luck, Corrin.  And remember that you can’t speak of Valla outside of the borders.”

She returned his smile and clutched her sword.

“Thank you, Hydra.  Stay safe.”

Turning back to the canyon, she leapt into it and soon found herself back where she had jumped in the first time.  Her necklace and ring from each of her families still rested nearby, so she knew that no one had come by.  Picking them up and putting them on again, she was ready to find her siblings.  After a moment of contemplation, she decided to go to Hoshido first to try and convince Ryoma and the others to help her.  She walked away from the canyon and towards a distant forest with a lightness in her step.
I wish I could upload these more often, but school is keeping me busy.  One question though, what do you think is going to happen with the story?  I already have it planned out, but I want to see your speculation.

The story is mine.  Everything else belongs to Nintendo.
