“What do you think they want with her?”

“No clue.  Maybe they’ll execute her.”

Corrin moaned, as the black faded out of her sight.  She tried to understand where she was.  Pushing herself off the ground, she looked around and saw that she was in some kind of cell.  When she realized that, she started to panic.  If she was in Hoshido, there was almost no way for her to get back to Castle Krakenburg.  She tried sensing a dragon vein, but there was none around.  Her sword had been taken, so she couldn’t fight her way out.

In a few minutes, the woman who tackled her before, Rinkah, opened her cell door.  Gazing at Corrin with a stern look in her eyes, she approached the young prisoner.

“All right, Nohrian, you are going to be judged by Queen Mikoto and Prince Ryoma.”

“You… Rinkah…  Why did you kidnap me?”

“You’ll see soon.  Now get up.”

She grabbed Corrin’s arms and forced her to her feet.  Dragging her out the door, Rinkah took her to the throne room.  As she was pushed forward, she saw the queen, the crown prince, and his younger brother.  Corrin had heard rumors about them.  It was said that the queen was a witch who could change the nature of people who happened to cross the border.  The crown prince was rumored to be this emotionless, deadly warrior, and his brother was lethal with his Fujin Yumi.  It was safe to say that she was terrified.

The three turned toward her.  Queen Mikoto took one look at her and froze.  Tears started to brim in her eyes.

“Co-Corrin?”

Corrin was confused at the reaction, and even more confused when she descended the stairs and came towards her.  Her father had only done that around his own children.

“I-I’m so relieved that you’re safe.  Welcome home, daughter.”

The queen reached out to hug her, but Corrin was too shocked and stepped away.

“What?  What are you saying?  I’m your DAUGHTER?”

She could get no more out, because Mikoto grabbed her and held her tight, even tighter than Camilla had.

As Corrin saw Prince Ryoma come towards her as well, she pushed away from the embrace, taking several steps backward.

“I-I don’t know what you’re talking about.  Why are you doing this?  What’s going on?”

She saw the queen’s face turn from one of joy to one of sadness.  Prince Takumi came a bit closer as well.

“You don’t remember us?  You… don’t remember me?”

Before she became too emotional, the younger prince butted in.

"I told you,  Mother.  She’s been away for most of her life.  It was incredibly unlikely that she would remember us.”

Tears started to roll down her face as she gazed on Corrin.  Seeing the terror on the young princess’s face, she understood.  The memories of her early life had been suppressed.  The elder prince decided to speak to Corrin next.

“I know you are confused, but this is your mother, Mikoto.  You are our sister.”

Mikoto joined in on the explanation.

“You were kidnapped when you were four.  We’ve been trying to find you and get you back for fourteen years.”

It seemed like a logical explanation for why Hoshidans were always trying to infiltrate Nohr.  She did feel like she should believe them, but at the same time, she didn’t want to.

“Why should I trust you?  I’m a…”

She didn’t know if she should continue, but luckily, she didn’t have to.  A soldier came running up.

“Prince Ryoma, we’ve just received a report that faceless are attacking the north town!  Princess Hinoka and Princess Sakura are in that area!”

Ryoma was obviously furious when he heard that.

“What?  Such a cowardly attack!”

Turning to Corrin, he saw how confused she was.

“Come, Corrin.  I’ll show you what those Nohrians do to us.”

He walked over to her, grabbed her arm, and dragged her out of the room.  He took her to the north town, covered in snow, where she saw two girls fighting off some giant creatures.  She didn’t know what she was supposed to do.  She thought that she saw the older girl before, but she couldn’t be sure.

“Corrin, I need you to help me get to them.”

She looked at him as if he was crazy.

“How am I supposed to do that?  I’m unarmed!”

Ryoma handed her the sword that she had when she was captured and ran forward.  Looking for a target, she noticed that there were several dragon veins around.  She ran to one at the bottom of a snowdrift and activated her skill, blowing it away.  She could clear a path to the two girls.  Battling the faceless and using those dragon veins, they managed to defend that town and rescue the princesses.

“Thank you for saving us, Ryoma.  That could have ended badly.”

The younger of them, a shrine maiden with pinkish hair, hugged her big brother.  Ryoma hugged her back as the elder princess, a pegasus knight with boyish red hair, came closer.

“I’m just glad that you and Hinoka are all right, Sakura”

Princess Sakura then turned toward Corrin, confused.

“I’m sorry.  Thank you for helping Ryoma save us, but who are you?”

She didn’t know how to introduce herself.  After all, she didn’t quite know what to believe regarding who she was.  Before she could speak, Ryoma took over for her.

“This is Corrin.  We just got her back home.”

Princess Hinoka looked as if she was about to cry.  After a few moments of staring, she just ran towards Corrin and embraced her.

“You’re home!  You’re finally home!  I’ve waited for so long to see you again!”

Ryoma chuckled at Corrin’s reaction.  He walked over and put a hand on her shoulder.

“This is your older sister Hinoka.  She was heartbroken when you were kidnapped by Nohr.”

Glancing back at her supposed sisters, Corrin noticed that something in her seemed to click.  It felt right in her soul to be with them.  She still couldn’t remember anything about them, but she felt the strongest urge to hug Hinoka.  She obliged.  Walking back to the capital, she started to feel a little guilty.  If she accepted the family that she should have loved, would she somehow betray the one that she grew up loving?

“Father, I went to the fort as you requested.  I couldn’t find Corrin, but I did find some blood on the nearby bridge.  Some boards had been broken from it as well.”

“So, they were attacked?”

“I believe so, Father.  Upon further inspection, I found some footprints going towards the border.”

“That’s it!  I can deal with Hoshidans trying to cross the border because I can punish them, but when they kidnap my daughter and drag her across the border, that has crossed the line!  Tell the troops to prepare to march by week’s end.  We must get her back!”
Here we go.  Corrin finally  meets her real family.  Also, what will happen to her when she meets her Nohrian family again?  Who knows?  I suppose we'll see where I go with this.

Anyway, I don't have much to say about this right now, so...

The story here belongs to me

Update: I just realized that I mislabeled Sakura as a priestess instead of a shrine maiden.  Fixed it.
